Lake Martin Mission Church (LMMC) is searching for a Senior Pastor. We are a church under Southeast Alabama Presbytery (SEAL) in the Lake Martin, AL area. We seek a shepherd who will lead, inspire, and guide our congregation with wisdom, compassion, and a deep commitment to the Word of God.
Senior Minister Job Description & Expectations
Lead Sunday Worship: Preach approximately 90% of Sundays
Visionary Leadership: Inspire and mentor the growing congregation and leaders in the church
Ministry Oversight: Provide oversight of all ministry efforts within the church
Denominational Participation: Actively participate in the Southeast Alabama Presbytery (SEAL)
Ordination Requirements: Ability for ordination in the PCA and SEAL
Leadership Development: Lead, teach, and disciple session and diaconate leadership
Educational Background: Seminary degree and ordained in the PCA. Possible exceptions
Spiritual Depth: Deep spiritual life through prayer, holiness, and continual growth in Christ
Doctrinal Integrity: Adhere/sign the Statement of Faith and Westminster Confession of Faith
Effective Communication: In preaching and teaching, capable of conveying biblical truth in a clear, engaging, and relevant manner
Pastoral Heart: Visible pastoral heart for people and actively engage with the community
Family Life: Serve as a model head of his home and family
